Removing a Hyperlink in Excel PDF Print E-mail
Written by Arlene Watkins

Removing a Hyperlink in ExcelHow can I remove hyperlinks in Excel when entering email and website information?

Using Excel 2003:

1.     If you want to turn off hyperlinks in Excel, go to Tools | AutoCorrect Options….

2.     On the AutoCorrect dialog box, select the AutoFormat As You Type tab and uncheck the Internet and network paths with hyperlinks checkbox.  Click OK.

3.     With this setting, the hyperlinks will not be automatically placed in your spreadsheet.  The example below shows hyperlinks on the left and without hyperlinks on the right.

Shortcuts Key:
Use CTRL+K to display the Insert Hyperlink dialog box.  From this dialog, you may add or edit hyperlinks.
