I have been thinking quite a bit lately about my sales management of Synthesis. It’s peculiar attempting to manage people who own their own businesses but report directly to me regarding their contact with Synthesis clients. Not to mention setting goals and parameters for my lead salesperson…my wife! 
At the end of each month, we run a set of Reports that help us determine the health of our company: Profit & Loss, Profit & Loss 2 Year Comparison, Balance Sheet, Accounts Receivable, Sales by Customer History and Unbilled Time. 
Groups are a great feature in ACT! They allow you to take your database and chunk it down into smaller categories that you may refer to time and again, or only once, then delete. 
This month is Time Management Month – a great time to become aware of how we use (and mis-use!) time. You think I’m going to nag you about wasting time, aren’t you? No, instead we are going to talk about accounting for your time. 
A couple members of our team asked me to review their sales follow up calls this week. We are specifically 5-Touching two dissimilar industries and are now at the point where we are making the 4th and 5th touch – the phone calls & appointments. ACT! Training
