I was coaching a General Manager on a technique to manage Sales Accountability for his sales team, and he was resisting everything I was trying to suggest (basic stuff - Itineraries, Cold Calling, etc.). One of his prime push-backs was, "Our company is different from yours - we sell to a different clientele, and have different ways of approaching people." I would buy into that resistance except that we have reinforced these classic sales techniques to all types of businesses across the country and frankly - sales is sales. And sales accountability is key. |

Sales is Simple! How do I know? Well, I've had to recreate my career a few times over the years due to company mergers, buy-outs, market trends, etc.so I have 'sold' everything from ladies shoes to automotive parts to ACT! Training. Guess what - it all comes down to four steps no matter what you are selling or whom you are selling. |

Our CPA just left and it seems we have done a good job this year of breaking even, tax wise. We've paid in plenty and we don't owe any more! Whew!
But our sales only increased about 11%, which surprised me. So I did some digging to see what really constitutes growth - is it dollars alone?
